Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – Springmaid Pier

This photo of the Springmaid Pier in Myrtle Beach was taken by Rebecca Pino of Pawley's Island in November 2006. The scene was shot at dusk.

Rebecca describes her photo: "My husband and I visited South Carolina in November of 2006. We were so moved by the waves crashing on shore and the peace of being near the ocean with the gulls flying overhead. The Springmaid Pier is so beautiful in sun setting light. I was able to capture the whole feeling we experienced when we first saw it, in this photo. When we went home to Texas we knew that South Carolina was the place we wanted to raise our 6 children. So by February we had our things loaded in a moving truck and we have been here for six wonderful months, without a regret. The children love it as well. The Springmaid Pier is still one of our favorite beaches."
