Cheraw, South Carolina – Lake Juniper Cypress

This photo of cypress trees rising over the black waters of Lake Juniper near Cheraw was taken by Steve Bilby of Cheraw. It was shot in October 2007.

Steve writes: "My family and I often go kayaking on Lake Juniper and we especially love to slowly meander though the cypress trees at the head of the lake. The beauty and tranquility is unsurpassed as nature's bounty overflows at every turn."

One can access Lake Juniper through Cheraw State Park, which has camping, cabins, trails, and golf.
